New Brunswick issued 610 invitations and selections across four immigration rounds held between September 10 and September 18, 2026, its first rounds since the Atlantic Immigration Program selections of August 10 and 20.
The rounds covered all four of Immigration New Brunswick’s active intake channels: the New Brunswick Provincial Nominee Program’s Skilled Worker and Express Entry streams, the Strategic Initiative, and the Atlantic Immigration Program.
The largest round was a Strategic Initiative draw on September 11, which issued 251 invitations under the Francophone Workers in New Brunswick and New Brunswick Francophone Priorities pathways. It used a cut-off of September 8, 2026 at 11:59 p.m. (AST).
A Skilled Worker Stream round held September 15 to 18 issued 197 invitations under the New Brunswick Graduates and New Brunswick Experience pathways. It drew from six occupational categories: construction; education, social and community services; manufacturing; other trades; professional and IT; and sales and services. Transportation, which was selected in the other three September rounds, was not included.
The Express Entry Stream held a round on September 17, issuing 102 invitations under the Employment in New Brunswick pathway. Both the Skilled Worker and Express Entry rounds used a cut-off of September 13, 2026 at 11:59 p.m. (AST). The Atlantic Immigration Program selected 60 applications for processing on September 10, from applications in the pool by September 9.
Health care, which featured in several July rounds, was not listed among the occupational categories selected in any of the four September rounds. The September cluster was also smaller than July’s five rounds, which produced 750 invitations and selections.

How New Brunswick manages intake
Immigration New Brunswick operates two separate pools. Under the NBPNP, candidates submit an expression of interest through the INB portal, which stays valid for 365 days. The province reviews the pool and issues invitations based on labour market needs, remaining allocation and other provincial priorities.
Under the Atlantic Immigration Program, a candidate and their designated employer submit a complete application, which enters the AIP candidate pool. New Brunswick then selects applications from that pool for processing; applications that are not selected expire after 365 days.
Meeting a stream’s eligibility criteria does not guarantee an invitation, and an invitation does not guarantee a nomination.
A nomination through the New Brunswick Express Entry Stream adds 600 points to a candidate’s Comprehensive Ranking System score, which in practice guarantees an invitation to apply for permanent residence in a later federal Express Entry round.
