September 17, 2025 – Law Enforcement Pathway
In a highly selective draw, Alberta invited fewer than 10 candidates through its Alberta Express Entry Stream – Law Enforcement Pathway. The minimum Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score required was 56. This pathway aims to attract experienced public safety and law enforcement professionals in high demand across the province.
September 16, 2025 – Accelerated Tech Pathway
A day earlier, Alberta issued 320 invitations to candidates under its Accelerated Tech Pathway, also part of the Alberta Express Entry Stream. The minimum CRS score was 55. This pathway prioritises tech talent with job offers in Alberta or experience in key National Occupation Classification (NOC) codes, supporting the province’s rapidly growing technology sector.
September 12, 2025 – Alberta Opportunity Stream
The largest draw occurred on September 12, when 1,113 invitations were sent to candidates under the Alberta Opportunity Stream, with a minimum score of 63. This stream does not require an Express Entry profile and is designed for individuals already working in Alberta on valid work permits, particularly those filling in-demand jobs.
These draws highlight Alberta’s commitment to targeted immigration that addresses specific provincial labour market needs. Tech and public safety remain top priorities, while general workforce gaps are also being addressed through the Opportunity Stream.
