Saskatchewan issued 89 invitations for Canadian immigration in its latest Expression of Interest draw, conducted through the Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program (SINP). This was the first such draw since June.
The September 12 draw distributed 32 invitations through the Occupations In-Demand Stream, targeting 24 occupations. It also issued 57 invitations through the Express Entry Stream, targeting 32 occupations.
Both streams had a minimum score of 88.

Process for Saskatchewan Expression of Interest (EOI)
- Submit an EOI Profile: Begin by submitting your Expression of Interest profile.
- Enter the Candidate Pool: Once submitted, your profile will be entered into the EOI candidate pool.
- Selection of Candidates: Candidates from the pool are selected periodically.
- Receive Invitations to Apply: Invitations to apply are issued during regular draws.
- Submit a Full Application: If invited, you have 60 days to submit a complete application.
- Application Review: Officials from the Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program (SINP) will evaluate your application and make a decision.
Requirements for the Occupation-In-Demand Sub-Category
- Minimum Score Requirement: Achieve a minimum of 60 points on the SINP points assessment grid.
- Language Proficiency: Obtain a language score of at least Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) 4. Note that employers and regulatory bodies may require a higher score.
- Educational Credentials: Complete at least one year of post-secondary education, training, or apprenticeship equivalent to the Canadian education system. You must have earned a diploma, certificate, or degree.
- Educational credentials obtained outside Canada must undergo an Educational Credential Assessment (ECA).
- Work Experience: Have at least one year of work experience in the last 10 years in your field of education or training. This must be in an eligible occupation classified under NOC TEER 0, 1, 2, or 3. Refer to the excluded occupations list for more details.
- Professional Licensure: Obtain the necessary licensure in Saskatchewan for regulated occupations. Applications will not be processed without appropriate licensure.
- Settlement Funds and Plan: Provide proof of settlement funds and a detailed settlement plan.
- Application Fee: Pay a non-refundable application fee of $300 online.
Requirements for the Saskatchewan Express Entry Sub-Category
For candidates outside Canada or those with legal status in Canada who are not refugee claimants, the following criteria must be met:
- Express Entry Profile: Have an active profile in the Express Entry Pool with a profile number and job seeker validation code.
- Minimum Score Requirement: Score at least 60 points on the SINP points assessment grid.
- Language Test Results: Provide valid language test results from an approved testing agency that match those in the Express Entry profile.
- Educational Credentials: Complete at least one year of post-secondary education, training, or apprenticeship equivalent to the Canadian education system. A diploma, certificate, or degree is required.
- Credentials obtained outside Canada must be evaluated through an Educational Credential Assessment (ECA).
- Work Experience: Meet one of the following experience criteria in your field of education or training:
- One year of work experience in a skilled profession (non-trades) within the past 10 years.
- Two years of work experience in a skilled trade within the past five years.
- One year of work experience in Canada within the past three years (for both trades and non-trades).
- Occupational Eligibility: Have work experience in a high-skilled occupation classified under NOC TEER 0, 1, 2, or 3. Check the excluded occupations list for specifics.
- Professional Licensure: Secure the required licensure in Saskatchewan for regulated professions or skilled trades. For skilled trades, a certification from the Saskatchewan Apprenticeship and Trade Certification Commission is necessary.
- Settlement Funds and Plan: Show proof of settlement funds and submit a settlement plan.
- Application Fee: Pay a non-refundable application fee of $300 online.
