The Smallest Round of 2026
At 25 invitations, the November 4 round is the smallest Newfoundland and Labrador has held this year, below the 36 issued on September 10. It continues a run of shrinking rounds: 120 on October 23, 85 on October 29, 50 on November 2 and now 25.
The rounds are also coming closer together. Only two days separated the November 2 and November 4 rounds, after a roughly weekly rhythm through October. Together, the two November rounds have issued 75 invitations so far this month.
One AIP Invitation
A single invitation went through the Atlantic Immigration Program in this round, after an NLPNP-only round on November 2. The AIP is employer-driven: candidates need a job offer from a designated Newfoundland and Labrador employer, so AIP numbers tend to follow employer demand rather than the size of the EOI pool.
The Province Reaches 3,232 Invitations for 2026
Across twenty-two selection rounds so far in 2026, the Office of Immigration and Multiculturalism has issued 3,232 ITAs in total — 2,824 under the NLPNP and 408 through the Atlantic Immigration Program.

How Newfoundland and Labrador Selects Candidates
Since February 19, 2025, both the NLPNP and the province’s share of the Atlantic Immigration Program have operated through a single Expression of Interest pool. Candidates submit an EOI profile rather than a full application, and the Office of Immigration and Multiculturalism reviews the pool and issues Invitations to Apply in batches through the year.
Only candidates who receive an ITA may submit a complete application. The province does not publish a minimum score for its rounds, and it does not announce round dates in advance.
The province publishes each round on its Invitations to Apply (ITA) Updates page. A full history of this year’s rounds is maintained on our Newfoundland immigration draws page.
Express Entry and the NLPNP
Candidates nominated through the NLPNP Express Entry Skilled Worker category receive an additional 600 points toward their Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score, which in practice guarantees an invitation in a subsequent federal Express Entry round.
