A Smaller Round After a Busy October
At 50 invitations, the November 2 round is the smallest since the 41 issued on September 25. It follows an October in which the province held a round every week — on October 9, 16, 23 and 29 — for a combined 462 invitations.
The gap between rounds has also tightened. Only four days separated the October 29 and November 2 rounds, compared with a roughly weekly rhythm through October.
No AIP Invitations This Time
After 10 AIP invitations on October 29, the most in a single round since August 26, this round was NLPNP-only. The Atlantic Immigration Program is employer-driven: candidates need a job offer from a designated Newfoundland and Labrador employer, so AIP numbers tend to follow employer demand rather than the size of the EOI pool.
The Province Reaches 3,207 Invitations for 2026
Across twenty-one selection rounds so far in 2026, the Office of Immigration and Multiculturalism has issued 3,207 ITAs in total — 2,800 under the NLPNP and 407 through the Atlantic Immigration Program.

How Newfoundland and Labrador Selects Candidates
Since February 19, 2025, both the NLPNP and the province’s share of the Atlantic Immigration Program have operated through a single Expression of Interest pool. Candidates submit an EOI profile rather than a full application, and the Office of Immigration and Multiculturalism reviews the pool and issues Invitations to Apply in batches through the year.
Only candidates who receive an ITA may submit a complete application. The province does not publish a minimum score for its rounds, and it does not announce round dates in advance.
The province publishes each round on its Invitations to Apply (ITA) Updates page. A full history of this year’s rounds is maintained on our Newfoundland immigration draws page.
Express Entry and the NLPNP
Candidates nominated through the NLPNP Express Entry Skilled Worker category receive an additional 600 points toward their Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score, which in practice guarantees an invitation in a subsequent federal Express Entry round.
