The federal government has introduced a new bill that will allow the deportation of a permanent resident without a hearing if they have committed a serious crime. The list of crimes include impaired driving causing bodily harm, theft of over $5,000, the cultivation of marijuana, robbery without a firearm, and fleeing from police.
