The Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP) has issued 104 Letters of Advice to Apply (LAAs) for permanent residence in Expression of Interest Draw #272, held on June 4, 2026.
This is the eleventh MPNP selection round of 2026. Draw #272 was conducted exclusively under the Skilled Worker Stream, targeting candidates who had been directly invited by the MPNP through a strategic recruitment initiative.
Draw Breakdown
All 104 LAAs were issued to candidates under the Skilled Worker in Manitoba or Skilled Worker Overseas pathway who declared receipt of an Invitation to Apply (ITA) under one of the following strategic recruitment initiatives:
- Employer Services: 40 LAAs
- Temporary Public Policy (TPP): 39 LAAs
- Francophone Community: 17 LAAs
- Ethnocultural Communities: 6 LAAs
- Regional Communities: 2 LAAs
Of the 104 LAAs issued, 15 — approximately 14 percent — went to candidates who declared a valid Express Entry profile number and job seeker validation code. A successful provincial nomination from one of these candidates could fast-track their application through the federal Express Entry system.
Context and Eligibility Notes
Only candidates under the Skilled Worker Stream who had been directly invited by the MPNP under a strategic recruitment initiative or through the Temporary Public Policy were considered in this draw. Profiles submitted under the International Education Stream (IES) were not eligible.
The province also noted that some candidates who appeared to meet the draw criteria may have been excluded for one of the following reasons: a missing or invalid language test identification number, expired language results, or a missing valid invitation number for a declared strategic recruitment initiative.
Additionally, TPP work permit holders whose Manitoba Support Letters were approved after June 30, 2025, may not yet have received an LAA, as the province is processing support letters in order, starting with those approved before that date.
Candidates who receive an LAA have 60 days to submit a complete application to the MPNP. Those who receive a nomination can then apply to Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) for permanent residence.
How to Apply to the Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program
Candidates interested in Manitoba immigration must first submit an Expression of Interest profile through the MPNP’s online system. To be considered for a Skilled Worker Stream draw, applicants must have been directly invited by the MPNP through a strategic recruitment initiative or the Temporary Public Policy pathway.
