On July 10, 2025, Manitoba conducted Expression of Interest Draw #249 under the Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP) issuing a total of 67 Letters of Advice to Apply (LAAs) to candidates across two immigration streams.
International Education Stream – Graduate Internship Pathway
The draw included 40 invitations under the Graduate Internship Pathway (GIP) of the International Education Stream. This stream targets international graduates from Manitoba institutions who have completed internships with industry or research partners in the province.
Skilled Worker Stream – Strategic Recruitment Initiatives
An additional 27 invitations were issued to candidates under the Skilled Worker in Manitoba and Skilled Worker Overseas pathways. These profiles were selected based on Manitoba’s strategic recruitment initiatives and had a minimum ranking score of 673.
Breakdown of these invitations:
- Employer Services: 3 candidates
- Francophone Community: 2 candidates
- Regional Communities: 4 candidates
- Ethnocultural Communities: 18 candidates
Of the total 67 invitations issued, 29 candidates declared a valid Express Entry profile and job seeker validation code, making them potentially eligible for faster processing through the federal immigration system.
This draw continues Manitoba’s targeted approach to selecting candidates with strong provincial ties and aligning with local labour market and community needs.
