November 20, 2017 – Manitoba immigration officials have introduced an extensive new list of In-Demand Occupations as part of an overhaul of its Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP).
The new occupations fall under nine main categories. For a full list including National Occupation Classification codes and language requirements, see below.
The nine broad categories are:
- Business, Finance and Administration
- Natural and Applied Sciences and Related
- Health
- Social Science, Education, Government Service and Religion
- Art, Culture, Recreation and Sport
- Sales and Service
- Trades, Transport and Equipment Operators and Related
- Unique to Primary Industry
- Unique to Processing, Manufacturing and Utilities
The occupations will be targeted under the four renewed streams of the MPNP. They are the totally new International Education Stream, a renamed and repurposed Business Investor Stream, plus the tweaked Skilled Worker in Manitoba Stream and Skilled Worker Overseas Stream.
