Ontario has announced the closure of intake for the Employer Job Offer: In-Demand Skills stream for the rest of 2020.
The decision, effective November 16, 2020, comes after the province reached the registration intake limit for the stream.
“No additional registrations will be accepted until further notice,” an Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program statement said.
Ontario expanded the scope of the In-Demand Skills Stream in July 2020 by adding 13 new eligible manufacturing occupations.
The new occupations – for positions based outside the Greater Toronto Area – became eligible when the stream reopened for applications on July 6, 2020.
By adding 13 new occupations, the OINP brought to 23 the total number of eligible jobs for the stream. Positions featured in the Employer Job Offer: In-Demand Skills stream are low or semi-skilled, falling into National Occupational Classification (NOC) C or D.
