Sep 04, 2019 – British Columbia immigration conducted its largest all-program draw of 2019 for the second consecutive draw, issuing invitations to 546 candidates.
The September 4 British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program draw saw minimum scores drop in four out of the five featured streams.
British Columbia has now issued a combined 1,073 invitations in its last two all-program draws.
The province’s direct skilled worker stream saw a minimum score of 93 points, while a minimum score of 96 points was needed for the Express Entry-linked skilled worker stream.
International graduates via the direct stream required 98 points, while the Express Entry-linked international graduate stream saw a minimum score of 100 points.
Entry level and semi-skilled candidates needed 77 points to qualify.

In the previous all-program British Columbia immigration draw, minimum scores dropped for all five featured streams, as the province invited 527 candidates to apply, then a record for 2019.
Candidates invited through the direct provincial skilled worker stream required 95 points to qualify, while Express Entry skilled workers required 100 points.
A minimum score of 100 was also recorded for the direct provincial international graduate stream, with the Express Entry stream for international graduates recording a minimum score of 102 points.
Entry level and semi-skilled workers required 77 points to qualify.

The BC PNP Tech Pilot has been extended into 2020 after its initial launch in 2017. It currently has a list of 29 target occupations with relaxed duration requirements.
BC PNP draws aimed specifically at technology workers started in May 2017. The province has a thriving technology industry with some big names of the tech world basing themselves in Canada’s westernmost province.

A coveted provincial nomination effectively guarantees selection under the Canada Express Entry System, worth 600 Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) points.
The B.C. PNP publishes the scores immigrants need to guarantee an invitation for Canada immigration under its programs.
The score needed for an international graduate is 30 points below a skilled worker under both the Canada Express Entry and provincial stream.
For entry-level and semi-skilled workers, that score is lower again.
