British Columbia Invites Entrepreneurs At Score 119 In September 22 BC PNP Draw

British Columbia issued invitations to apply for a provincial nomination in a BC PNP Entrepreneur Immigration draw held on September 22, 2026. Ten invitations went to registrants under the Base category and fewer than five went to the Regional pilot, with both streams set at a minimum score of 119.

It was the province’s tenth Entrepreneur Immigration round of 2026, coming four weeks after the August 25 draw. Counting only the rounds where the province published an exact figure, British Columbia has now issued at least 114 Entrepreneur Immigration invitations in 2026.

The BC PNP does not publish exact counts when a stream issues fewer than five invitations, so the precise total for this round has not been released.

Minimum score climbs to 119

The Base cut-off rose three points, from 116 on August 25 to 119 on September 22. That is the highest Base minimum since February 10, when the round closed at 121. Base scores have otherwise stayed in a narrow band between 115 and 118 since March.

The Regional pilot cut-off also rose to 119, from 116 in August, making it the highest Regional minimum since the March 10 round (129). For the second month running, both streams were drawn at the same score.

How BC PNP Entrepreneur Immigration works

Entrepreneur Immigration is a separate stream from the BC PNP’s Skills Immigration pathway. Candidates register an expression of interest, receive a points score based on their business proposal, personal net worth, investment amount, job creation, language ability, education, and work experience, and then wait to be invited from the registration pool.

Invitations are issued to qualified registrations received before the date of the draw. An invitation allows the registrant to submit a full application; approved applicants sign a performance agreement with the province, come to British Columbia on a work permit to establish the business, and can then be nominated for permanent residence once they have met the agreement’s terms.

The Base category requires a business anywhere in British Columbia, while the Regional pilot is designed for smaller communities and carries lower investment and net worth thresholds. Full draw results are published on the WelcomeBC invitations to apply page.

Skills Immigration remains the larger pathway

Most BC PNP invitations continue to go through Skills Immigration, which runs targeted rounds for health care, childcare, construction trades and veterinary care, along with Innovate: High Economic Impact rounds for high-wage and high-scoring candidates.

The most recent Skills Immigration round, held September 17, 2026, issued 33 invitations under the Temporary Rural/Remote Health Support Initiative at a minimum score of 60. A week earlier, on September 10, the province invited 182 early childhood educators (minimum score 99), 143 priority health care workers (76), 104 construction trades workers (94) and fewer than five veterinary care workers (90).

The Skills Immigration registration pool held 8,013 registrations as of September 1, 2026, with the largest concentration — 1,559 registrations — scoring between 100 and 109 points.

How to check where you stand

The minimum score of 119 in the September 22 round is a BC PNP Entrepreneur Immigration registration score, which is scored on a different basis from the federal Comprehensive Ranking System. Entrepreneur candidates are not selected from the Express Entry pool.
