PEI Draw Results in 2026
September’s round is up sharply on August’s 181 and ties the 195 issued in July, making the two the largest rounds PEI has held this year. The province has now issued more invitations in the four rounds since June — 753 in total — than in the five rounds that opened the year combined, which produced 476.

The business column remains the most striking figure in the table. Prince Edward Island has issued no Business Work Permit Entrepreneur invitations in any round in 2026, and has not published a minimum points threshold for business invitations at any point this year. Candidates pursuing the entrepreneur route have had no selections to plan around for nine consecutive months.
Who PEI Is Selecting
The province states that invitations in 2026 have been extended to individuals working in occupations and priority sectors identified for their economic impact in Prince Edward Island, with healthcare, trades, manufacturing and other industries facing labour shortages singled out. The Office of Immigration has also said that individuals working in the sales and service sector may not receive an invitation to apply at this time.
International graduates of the University of Prince Edward Island, Holland College and Collège de l’Île have been prioritised in this year’s invitations.
PEI does not publish a minimum points threshold for its Labour Impact and Express Entry rounds, so candidates cannot compare their EOI score against a cut-off the way they can in a federal Express Entry round.
How the PEI PNP Expression of Interest System Works
Candidates submit an Expression of Interest profile to the PEI Office of Immigration rather than a full application. Profiles remain in the pool and are ranked on language ability, education, skill and work experience level, provincial labour market priorities, and other factors relevant to employment prospects, including a job offer in PEI or previous Canadian work experience.
An Expression of Interest is not an application. The Office of Immigration reserves the right to limit intake or make exclusions from its draws, and only candidates who receive an invitation may submit a complete application.
