The Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP) has issued invitations to applicants in two Employer Job Offer streams: the Foreign Worker Stream and the International Student Stream, both targeting the National Occupational Classification (NOC) 42202, which pertains to early childhood educators and assistants.
Ontario Employer Job Offer: Foreign Worker Stream
On June 17, 2024, a draw took place in which 106 invitations were issued. The eligible profiles had a score of 39 or above. The draw specifically targeted individuals in the National Occupational Classification (NOC) 42202, focusing on early childhood educators and assistants.
Key Observations:
- Targeted occupation: The draw is specifically focused on early childhood educators and assistants. This indicates a significant demand for professionals in this occupation within Ontario, reflecting a need for skilled individuals in the early childhood education sector.
- Invitation volume: A total of 106 invitations were issued. This suggests a moderate intake, which could imply a targeted approach to meet specific labor market needs without overwhelming the system.
- Score threshold: The minimum score required was 39, which suggests a relatively accessible threshold. This could encourage a broader range of applicants with varying levels of experience and qualifications, aiming to attract a diverse group of professionals to fill the gap in early childhood education.
Ontario Employer Job Offer: International Student Stream
On June 17, 2024, a draw was conducted, resulting in the issuance of 184 invitations. The score range for the invited candidates was 60 and above. The focus of this draw was on individuals within the National Occupational Classification (NOC) 42202, specifically early childhood educators and assistants.
Key Observations:
- Targeted occupation: Similar to the Foreign Worker Stream, this draw also targets early childhood educators and assistants, underscoring the ongoing demand in this occupation and the emphasis on nurturing early childhood education.
- Invitation volume: With 184 invitations issued, the International Student Stream has a significantly higher intake compared to the Foreign Worker Stream. This reflects a strategic focus on attracting recently graduated international students who have local education and may be more readily integrated into the workforce.
- Score threshold: The score threshold is set higher at 60, indicating a more competitive selection process. This could be due to the larger pool of eligible candidates and the desire to attract highly qualified individuals with strong academic backgrounds and potential.
