May 28, 2019 – Ontario immigration has conducted its largest-ever French Speaking Skilled Worker draw, issuing Notifications of Interest to 360 Express Entry candidates.
The May 22 draw eclipses the combined total of all of the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program FSSW draws so far in 2019, bring the total NOIs for the year to 549.
To qualify for the draw, candidates had to submit Express Entry profiles between May 22, 2018 and May 22, 2019.

There is no minimum points requirement for the stream. Candidates must have a minimum of Canadian Language Benchmark 7 in French and 6 in English to qualify.

What Are The Requirements For The Ontario Express Entry: French-Speaking Skilled Worker Stream?
To qualify applicants must have:
- Pending application under the Federal Express Entry system;
- Minimum of 1-year of full-time, or full-time equivalent work experience under NOC occupation level 0, A or B;
- Canadian equivalent Bachelors degree, Masters degree or PhD;
- Minimum CLB level 7 in TEF exam (French); AND minimum CLB 6 in IELTS exam (English)
- Intention to reside in the Province of Ontario.
Ontario has received a total federal government nomination allocation of 6,900 for 2019 under the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program.
Of the total, 250 nominations are specifically for temporary foreign workers in intermediate skilled occupations (National Occupation Classification C).
The figure represents a 4.5 per cent increase on the allocation of 6,600 nominations received by Canada’s largest province in 2018.
After reaching the nomination limit in November 2018, Ontario was granted 250 extra nominations, meaning it nominated a total of 6,850 candidates for permanent residence last year.
The OINP began publishing information about specific draws at the beginning of 2018.
The province conducted 44 French Speaking Skilled Worker draws in 2018, and six so far in 2019.
Ontario also conducts draws for its Human Capital Priorities, Skilled Trades and Entrepreneur streams
