The changes see existing business owners become eligible under the Entrepreneur Stream. Candidates can also now count operating expenses towards the required minimum investment.
For the International Graduate Entrepreneur Stream, ownership requirements will drop from 100 per cent to 33 per cent.
“Changes will allow for collaboration with other entrepreneurs and give recent international graduates more flexibility in achieving entrepreneurship and immigration goals,” a statement said.
The Nova Scotia Nominee Program now operates eight streams including the new pilot, as well as being part of the Atlantic Immigration Pilot.
