Newfoundland and Labrador has conducted two immigration draws under its Newfoundland and Labrador Provincial Nominee Program (NLPNP) and the Atlantic Immigration Program (AIP), issuing a combined total of 381 Invitations to Apply (ITAs) to prospective immigrants.
On July 29, 2025, the province issued 150 ITAs – 100 through the NLPNP and 50 through the AIP. This was followed by a larger draw on August 13, 2025, with 231 ITAs issued – 180 via the NLPNP and 51 through the AIP.
These draws reflect the province’s ongoing efforts to attract skilled workers and meet labour market needs in key sectors. The NLPNP targets individuals with the skills and experience in demand in Newfoundland and Labrador, while the AIP focuses on attracting candidates who can contribute to the economic growth of Atlantic Canada.
