New Brunswick has selected 68 applications from its Atlantic Immigration Program (AIP) candidate pool in rounds held on August 10 and August 20, 2026, according to ImmigrationNB’s invitation and selection rounds page.
The August activity was confined to the Atlantic Immigration Program. The province has not published a New Brunswick Provincial Nominee Program (NBPNP) invitation round since July 22, 2026, when it selected 114 AIP applications.

Occupational Categories Targeted
Seven occupational categories were selected in the August rounds:
- Construction trades
- Education, social and community services
- Manufacturing
- Other trades
- Professional and IT
- Sales and services
- Transportation
Health care — a category included in the July 22 AIP round and in several NBPNP rounds earlier in the year — was not among the categories selected in August.
How New Brunswick Selects Candidates
The Atlantic Immigration Program is an employer-driven federal-provincial pathway. Candidates need a job offer from a designated employer in New Brunswick, and the province endorses applications by selecting them from the AIP candidate pool. Endorsed applicants can then apply to Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada for permanent residence.
ImmigrationNB says invitations and selections are based on provincial labour market needs, available allocation, and other priorities set by the Government of New Brunswick.
