December 14, 2018 – British Columbia immigration saw the lowest-ever minimum score for the second draw running under the popular BC PNP Entrepreneur stream.
Candidates scoring 110 points or more received invites for British Columbia immigration in the December 12 draw.
The draw also matched the record for the largest number of invites at 25, a record set in the previous draw on October 31.
The first draw under the B.C. Entrepreneur category was conducted in November 2015.

What Are The Requirements For The B.C. Entrepreneur Category?
Business candidates in this British Columbia immigration category must meet the following minimum criteria:
- Demonstrate a personal net worth of at least $800,000;
- Make a personal investment of at least $400 000 to establish or purchase and expand an eligible business in B.C.;
- Create at least three jobs for Canadian citizens or permanent residents;
- Participate in the day-to-day management and direction or the business;
- Sign a performance agreement with B.C. prior to nomination;
- Candidates in the Entrepreneur category can sponsor a key staff member for Canadian permanent residence.
How Do I Qualify For The Regional Entrepreneur Category?
Business candidates in this category must meet the following minimum criteria:
- Demonstrate a personal net worth of at least $400,000;
- Make a personal investment of at least $200,000 to establish or purchase and expand an eligible business in B.C. outside the Vancouver metropolitan area and the Abbotsford metropolitan area;
- Create at least one new job for a Canadian citizen or permanent resident;
- Participate in the day-to-day management and direction or the business;
- Sign a performance agreement with B.C. prior to nomination.
Meanwhile, the latest BC PNP Tech Pilot draw saw 31 invitations issued via the British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program.
Skilled worker candidates under the province’s Express Entry and direct provincial streams both required a minimum 85 points in the September 19, 2018 draw.
International graduates under both streams needed to score 95 points or more to qualify.
