Applicants in this class would need to prove their language skills in English or French. For this, they would need to take a language test approved by Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC). They would need to:
-
Schedule a language test approved by Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) and pay the relevant fees
-
Compare their test results to the charts given subsequently to see what Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) level they have achieved and,
-
Include the original test results at the time they apply in case they meet the minimum level of Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) 5 (the officers will not accept any photocopies submitted)
Note:
-
Applicants would need to ensure that their test results are less than two years old at the time when Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) receives their applications
-
The authorities would not consider applications for the next step in case applicants do not include the original test results
-
It is worth highlighting that applicants should not ask the organisation that produces the results to send the language test results directly to Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC)
-
Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) would be checking all language test results submitted with applications with the organisation that produced the results
