Federal Skilled Workers Selection Criteria – Age

Officers would need to award the applicant points for their age. They would do this on the date on which the Centralised Intake Office (CIO) receives the application, as given in the table below. This is in accordance with the provisions specified under R81.

The Table for Awarding Points for Applications Received Prior to May 04, 2013
The Age	Points Assigned to Applicants
If the applicant is:

21 to 49 years of age	10 points
20 or 50 years of age	8 points
19 or 51 years of age	6 points
18 or 52 years of age	4 points
17 or 53 years of age	2 points
Less than 17 years or greater than 53 years of age	0 points

18 to 35 years of age	12 points
36 years of age	11 points
37 years of age	10 points
38 years of age	9 points
39 years of age	8 points
40 years of age	7 points

43 years of age	4 points
44 years of age	3 points
45 years of age	2 points
46 years of age	1 points
Less than 18 years or 47 years of age or older	0 points
