British Columbia has conducted a new round of invitations under the BC Provincial Nominee Program (BC PNP), targeting high-impact candidates positioned to contribute significantly to the province’s economy.
The October 2, 2025 draw was only the second of the year due to federal government nomination restrictions. Before the cuts, the province used to conduct weekly draws.

A total of 474 invitations to apply (ITAs) were issued across two major selection categories:
Stream Highlights
High-Wage Job Offer Category – 114 Invitations
In this category, 114 candidates were invited based on exceptionally high wage offers, which signal a strong potential economic contribution to British Columbia. To qualify, candidates needed to have a wage of at least $90 per hour or an annual salary of $175,000 or more. Additionally, they were required to hold a valid job offer in a skilled occupation classified under NOC TEER 0, 1, 2 or 3.
High-Scoring Candidates – 360 Invitations
Another 360 candidates were selected based on their overall score in the Skills Immigration Registration System (SIRS). These individuals met a minimum threshold score of 140 points in this round, indicating strong human capital and employment prospects aligned with B.C.’s immigration priorities.
