2019-12-05 – British Columbia’s latest draw through the BC PNP Tech Pilot saw 63 invitations issued to candidates with skills and experience in 29 targeted occupations.
The December 3 British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program draw feature minimum scores of 90 for all four streams targeting skilled workers and international graduates.
The four streams were:
- SI – Skilled Worker
- SI – International Graduate
- EEBC – Skilled Worker
- EEBC – International Graduate

The previous British Columbia immigration draw saw invitations issued to 348 skilled workers and international graduates.
The November 26 draw saw invitation issued through five provincial streams.
Skilled workers through the direct provincial stream required 94 points to qualify, compared to the 100 points required for skilled workers through the province’s Express Entry-linked stream.
B.C.’s direct provincial stream for international graduates recorded a minimum score of 101 points, with the Express Entry-linked international graduate stream requiring 103 points to qualify.
Entry-level and semi-skilled workers required 77 points.

The BC PNP Tech Pilot has been extended into 2020 after its initial launch in 2017. It currently has a list of 29 target occupations with relaxed duration requirements.
BC PNP draws aimed specifically at technology workers started in May 2017. The province has a thriving technology industry with some big names of the tech world basing themselves in Canada’s westernmost province.

A coveted provincial nomination effectively guarantees selection under the Canada Express Entry System, worth 600 Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) points.
The B.C. PNP publishes the scores immigrants need to guarantee an invitation for Canada immigration under its programs.
The score needed for an international graduate is 30 points below a skilled worker under both the Canada Express Entry and the provincial stream.
For entry-level and semi-skilled workers, that score is lower again.
