I would centralize the fragmented immigration system into a unified framework that aligns provincial and federal programs. This consolidation would reduce redundancy, enhance efficiency, and more effectively meet regional and national economic needs.

I handled a challenging conjugal partner sponsorship for a couple separated for over thirty years, necessitating thorough documentation to verify their long-standing relationship. This successful case underscored the rewarding impact of legal advocacy in facilitating family reunification.

Why did you decide to get into your specialization?

I started my legal career in tax and estates law and transitioned to immigration law, driven by a desire to make a more meaningful contribution to people’s life trajectories. This shift was inspired by my personal immigration experience and my commitment to significantly impact others navigating this complex process.

Toronto is my favourite Canadian city due to its vibrant multiculturalism and personal significance. It is a place where diverse cultures and languages converge, enriching my life and making it a key part of my identity.
