On June 25, 2025, the province invited 15 candidates through the Alberta Express Entry Stream under the Priority Sectors – Construction focus. The minimum Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score required for this draw was 67. This stream targets candidates with experience in high-demand construction occupations and a profile in the federal Express Entry system.
Earlier in the month, on June 20, 2025, 118 invitations were issued under the Alberta Opportunity Stream, specifically targeting the agriculture sector. The minimum score for this draw was 52, indicating Alberta’s ongoing commitment to attracting workers in essential sectors that support the province’s economy.
These targeted draws reflect Alberta’s strategic approach to addressing labour shortages in key industries by selecting candidates who can quickly contribute to the province’s workforce.
