New Brunswick immigration has opened its Express Entry stream to candidates who meet specific criteria. The province is accepting Expressions of Interest for New Brunswick immigration from candidates already living and working in New Brunswick. Candidates must meet all of the following criteria:
- Have a profile in the federal Express Entry Pool with profile number and job seeker validation code.
- Be living and working in New Brunswick. EOI must include letter of employment.
- Position must be at National Occupational Classification 0, A or B.
- Equivalent score of Canadian Language Benchmark 7 in English or French for reading, writing, speaking and listening.
- Valid Educational Credential Assessment showing minimum equivalent of Canadian High School diploma.
A New Brunswick Provincial Nomination Program statement said: “If you do not meet all of the […] submission criteria, do not submit an EOI at this time. “Any EOI submission received that does not meet all of the above submission criteria will be rejected and immediately deleted.” The New Brunswick Express Entry Labour Market stream allows the province to nominate candidates already in the federal Express Entry pool. An EOI is not an immigration application. Candidates receiving a nomination from New Brunswick score 600 Express Entry points, which effectively guarantees an Invitation to Apply in the next Express Entry draw. The federal Express Entry system manages the application intake for Canada’s three main economic immigration programs:
New Brunswick publishes a regularly-update list of target occupations for immigration candidates. However, the requirements for the latest opening of the Express Entry stream do not mention the target occupations.
