Alberta conducted multiple Alberta Advantage Immigration Program (AAIP) draws in late February and early March 2025, targeting specific sectors to address labour shortages.
- March 5, 2025: Alberta Express Entry Stream – Law Enforcement Pathway invited 4 candidates with a minimum score of 48.
- February 28, 2025: Dedicated Health Care Pathway (non-Express Entry) invited 9 candidates with a minimum score of 49.
- February 27, 2025: Dedicated Health Care Pathway (Express Entry) invited 22 candidates with a minimum score of 45.
The Alberta Advantage Immigration Program (AAIP) is designed for individuals who possess the skills and abilities to fill labour shortages in Alberta.
The AAIP accepts skilled worker applications under the Alberta Opportunity Stream, Alberta Express Entry, the Rural Renewal Stream and the Tourism and Hospitality Stream.
It also operates four business programs, the Farm Stream, the Graduate Entrepreneur Stream, the Foreign Graduate Entrepreneur Stream and the Rural Entrepreneur Stream.
