May 3, 2017 – The Nova Scotia immigration office has a new list of Canada jobs in demand for its stream under the Canada Express Entry system.
Financial experts, computers programmers and nurses are among the in-demand occupations on the new list, with the Nova Scotia Demand: Express Entry stream set to open in the coming weeks.
The eligibility criteria for the Nova Scotia Express Entry stream has also changed.

The Nova Scotia immigration office says the stream will open and close over the coming year so it can process applications quickly. The stream is open to online applications only.
The Nova Scotia Demand: Express Entry stream scores applicants based on six broad factors:
- Education
- Language ability
- Work experience
- Age
- Arranged employment in Nova Scotia
- Adaptability (including spouse/partner’s credentials)
The stream includes two categories. Category A requires a job offer, Category B requires experience in Nova Scotia’s targeted Canada jobs.
Category A Requirements: Nova Scotia Express Entry
- Full-time permanent skilled job offer from a Nova Scotia employer.
- One year of skilled work experience related to the job.
- Canadian high school credential or equivalent.
- Proven language ability in English or French at Canadian Language Benchmark 7.
- Score 67 points or more on six selection factors.
- Have the financial resources to successfully settle in Nova Scotia;
- Have a Canada Express Entry profile registered.
Category B Requirements: Nova Scotia Express Entry
- One year of skilled work experience in one of the target occupations.
- Canadian high school credential or equivalent.
- Proven language ability in English or French at Canadian Language Benchmark 7.
- Score 67 points or more on six selection factors.
- Have the financial resources to successfully settle in Nova Scotia;
- Have a Canada Express Entry profile registered.
