Ontario immigration says candidates who reported errors during the recent opening of the Employer Job Offer: International Student stream<\/span><\/a> will still be able to register.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The stream opened on Thursday, November 26 but closed again quickly due to a technical issue with the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP) e-filing portal.<\/p>\n

The province says all users who reported errors will be able to register for the stream will be contacted by the OINP.<\/p>\n

Ontario says it registered 1,426 applicants during the opening, and that the stream will not reopen again in 2020.<\/p>\n

The Ontario Employer Job Offer category is aimed at candidates who have a job offer from an Ontario employer.<\/p>\n

For the International Student Stream, candidates are required to have graduated from a publicly-funded Canadian college or university.<\/p>\n

Employer Job Offer: International Student Stream<\/h3>\n

To qualify under this stream, applicants must have:<\/p>\n

    \n
  • <\/span>A permanent and full-time job offer under NOC 0, A or B that meets low wage levels for Ontario, and in a position that is necessary to the business;\n
      \n
    • <\/span>For those already working in the position, the proposed wage must be equal or greater than the current wage being paid<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n
    • <\/span>Either\n
        \n
      • <\/span>Graduated or met requirements of a full-time minimum two-year degree from a publicly-funded Canadian college or university; OR<\/li>\n
      • <\/span>Graduated or met requirements of a full-time minimum one-year post-graduate diploma program from a publicly-funded Canadian college or university.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n
      • <\/span>Completed at least half the studies in Canada;<\/li>\n
      • <\/span>Apply within two years from the date you completed the above course<\/li>\n
      • <\/span>Legal status in Ontario<\/li>\n
