British Columbia immigration has conducted a new provincial draw, issuing 256 invitations to apply with certain jobs excluded due to coronavirus restrictions.<\/p>\n

The December 8 draw saw British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program<\/span><\/a> officials exclude 31 occupations where a high-volume of applicants have recently been approved.<\/p>\n

Given the issues, the following were excluded from the latest draw:<\/p>\n

  1. 0621 – Retail and wholesale trade managers<\/li>\n
  2. 0631 – Restaurant and food service managers<\/li>\n
  3. 0632 – Accommodation service managers<\/li>\n
  4. 0651 – Managers in customer and personal services, n.e.c.<\/li>\n
  5. 3236 – Massage therapists<\/li>\n
  6. 6211 – Retail sales supervisors<\/li>\n
  7. 6311 – Food service supervisors<\/li>\n
  8. 6313 – Accommodation, travel, tourism and related services supervisors<\/li>\n
  9. 6321 – Chefs<\/li>\n
  10. 6322 – Cooks<\/li>\n
  11. 6341 – Hairstylists and barbers<\/li>\n
  12. 6421 – Retail salespersons<\/li>\n
  13. 6511 – Ma\u00eetres d’h\u00f4tel and hosts\/hostesses<\/li>\n
  14. 6512 – Bartenders<\/li>\n
  15. 6513 – Food and beverage servers<\/li>\n
  16. 6521 – Travel counsellors<\/li>\n
  17. 6522 – Pursers and flight attendants<\/li>\n
  18. 6523 – Airline ticket and service agents<\/li>\n
  19. 6524 – Ground and water transport ticket agents, cargo service representatives and related clerks<\/li>\n
  20. 6525 – Hotel front desk clerks<\/li>\n
  21. 6531 – Tour and travel guides<\/li>\n
  22. 6532 – Outdoor sport and recreational guides<\/li>\n
  23. 6533 – Casino occupations<\/li>\n
  24. 6562 – Estheticians, electrologists and related occupations<\/li>\n
  25. 6564 – Other personal service occupations<\/li>\n
  26. 6611 – Cashiers<\/li>\n
  27. 6621 – Service station attendants<\/li>\n
  28. 6711 – Food counter attendants, kitchen helpers and related support occupations<\/li>\n
  29. 6721 – Support occupations in accommodation, travel and facilities set-up services<\/li>\n
  30. 6722 – Operators and attendants in amusement, recreation and sport<\/li>\n
  31. 6731 –\u00a0Light duty cleaners<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    The draw saw invitations issued across five BC PNP categories.<\/p>\n

    Skilled workers through the direct provincial stream required 95 points to qualify, while Express Entry skilled workers needed 97 points.<\/p>\n

    For the direct provincial international graduate stream, 95 points was the minimum score, with 97 points required for the Express Entry international graduate stream.<\/p>\n

    Entry level and semi-skilled workers required a minimum of 77 points.<\/p>\n
