The program operates two streams:<\/p>\n<p><b>Stream 1<\/b><\/p>\n<p>For candidates creating a business in Quebec with support from a business accelerator, a business incubator or a university entrepreneurship centre.<\/p>\n<p><b>Stream 2<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n<p>For candidates creating or buying an existing business. The candidate must control at least 25 per cent if it\u2019s a new enterprise, or at least 51 per cent of an acquired enterprise.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Under the second stream, the entrepreneur candidate must invest starting funds of $200,000 for a business outside the metropolitan area of Montreal, or $300,000 for a business located in the metropolitan area of Montreal.
