Ontario immigration received 1,300 applications during a recent intake period for the Employer Job Offer: Foreign Worker Stream<\/span><\/a>.<\/p>\n

The Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program<\/span><\/a> (OINP) stream opened on the morning of July 21 and closed again a few hours later, with the intake limit met.<\/p>\n

Ontario could not confirm when the popular stream would next open.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe\u00a0OINP\u00a0will continue to monitor intake of applications across all streams to determine when the Masters Graduate, Employer Job Offer: International Student and Foreign Worker streams will reopen in 2020,\u201d a statement said.<\/p>\n

Due to the current situation concerning the coronavirus pandemic, Ontario required each application to be submitted with the most recent version of the Employer Form completed and dated July 21,to ensure all the information contained on the form was current.<\/p>\n

Employer Job Offer: Foreign Worker Stream<\/h3>\n

To qualify under this stream, applicants must have:<\/p>\n

    \n
  • <\/span>A permanent and full-time job offer under NOC 0, A or B that meets the median wage levels for Ontario, and in a position that is necessary to the business;\n
      \n
    • <\/span>For those already working in the position, the proposed wage must be equal or greater than the current wage being paid.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n
    • <\/span>Two cumulative years of relevant work experience in the previous five years before the date of application;<\/li>\n
    • <\/span>Relevant mandatory licensing in Ontario, if the position so requires;<\/li>\n
    • <\/span>Live abroad, or be working, studying or visiting Canada on a valid permit;<\/li>\n
    • <\/span>Intention to settle in Ontario.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      Under the\u00a0Employer Job Offer streams, the\u00a0business must also meet the following requirements:<\/b><\/p>\n

        \n
      • <\/span>Active business for the past three years.<\/li>\n
      • <\/span>Business premises in Ontario.<\/li>\n
      • <\/span>In compliance with all the employment, health and safety legislation.<\/li>\n
      • <\/span>If located in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA): minimum of $1,000,000 in gross annual revenue and five full-time employees who are Canadian citizens or permanent residents.<\/li>\n
      • <\/span>If located outside GTA: minimum of $500,000 in gross annual revenue and three full-time employees who are Canadian citizens or permanent residents.<\/li>\n
      • <\/span>For the\u00a0Foreign Worker Stream<\/i>\u00a0only: Demonstrate recruitment efforts if the applicant is living outside Canada or is working in Canada but outside Ontario.\n
