Prince Edward Island has conducted four further PEI PNP<\/a> draws aimed at working in essential industries to help the fight against coronavirus.<\/span><\/p>\n

The draws in May and June saw 129 invitations issued to specific COVID-19 essential workers in the healthcare and trucking industries.<\/span><\/p>\n

A total of 109 Labour Impact and Express Entry stream invitations were issued, with the remaining 20 invites going to Business Impact candidates.<\/span><\/p>\n

In the first draw, dated May 29, 19 invites were issued, with 9 invites issued in a June 10 draw, 10 on June 18 and 91 on June 23.<\/span><\/p>\n

The June 23 draw was the only one to feature Business Impact invites.<\/span><\/p>\n

The PEI Office of Immigration is currently providing essential services only.<\/span><\/p>\n

Candidates invited to apply have been instructed to call 902-620-3628<\/strong> to schedule a time to deliver their file.<\/span><\/p>\n

In nine draws so far in 2020, 434 invites have been issued through the PEI PNP. They include 391 Express Entry and Labour Impact invites and 43 Business Impact invites. <\/span><\/p>\n

PEI launched its Expression of Interest system<\/a> at the start of 2018, and has made monthly draws<\/a> ever since.<\/span><\/p>\n

The next draw is planned for July 16, although this will depend on how the coronavirus crisis develops.<\/span><\/p>\n
