2020-03-24 – Alberta issued 100 Notification of Interest Letters to candidates with Comprehensive Ranking System scores as low as 300 in the latest Alberta Express Entry<\/a> draw.<\/span><\/p>\n

The March 4 draw was the fifth of the year through the Alberta Immigrant Nominee Program<\/a><\/span>.<\/span><\/p>\n

It should be noted that the draw took place before the coronavirus crisis fully took hold in Canada. The province of Alberta has since declared a public health emergency<\/a> over COVID-19, but it is unclear how this will affect the SINP.<\/span><\/p>\n

Important requirements for the Alberta Express Entry<\/a> stream are that candidates have stated an interest in immigrating permanently to the province, and are working in an occupation that supports Alberta\u2019s economic development and diversification.<\/span><\/p>\n

Alberta is yet to receive its federal government nomination allocation for 2020. It currently has 1,750 applications awaiting assessment for eligibility.<\/span><\/p>\n

Alberta conducted 31 draws tapping the federal Express Entry pool during 2019, issuing 7,034 Notification of Interest Letters.<\/span><\/p>\n

The province reached its federal government allocation of 6,000 nominations in December.<\/span><\/p>\n
