2020-03-18 – Prince Edward Island will conduct a third draw of 2020 through its Expression of Interest system on Thursday, March 19.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Prince Edward Island Provincial Nominee Program<\/a> (PEI PNP) draw will feature invites for the province\u2019s immigration streams for Express Entry<\/a>, Labour Impact and Business Impact candidates.<\/span><\/p>\n

In two draws so far in 2020, 276 invites have been issued through the PEI PNP. They include 253 Express Entry and Labour Impact invites and 23 Business Impact candidates.\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

PEI launched its Expression of Interest system<\/a> at the start of 2018 and has made monthly draws<\/a> ever since.<\/span><\/p>\n

PEI issued a total of 1,629 invites during 2019. Of these, 1,436 went to Labour Impact and Express Entry candidates, with the remaining 193 going to Business Impact candidates.<\/span><\/p>\n

\n

Prince Edward Island Express Entry Stream<\/h3>\n

PEI\u2019s Express Entry category operates by considering candidates already in the\u00a0federal Express Entry Pool<\/a>\u00a0for a provincial nomination.<\/span><\/p>\n

Such a nomination adds 600 points to a candidate\u2019s\u00a0Comprehensive Ranking System<\/a>\u00a0(CRS) score and effectively guarantees an\u00a0Invitation to Apply<\/a>\u00a0(ITA) for Canadian immigration.<\/span><\/p>\n

The PEI Express Entry Category features two pathways to Canadian permanent residence, one for candidates with a job offer and one for those without.<\/span><\/p>\n

Prince Edward Island Labour Impact Category<\/h3>\n

1) Skilled Worker Stream<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

This employer-driven stream allows skilled workers with an employment offer in PEI to be nominated for Canadian Permanent residence if they meet the following criteria:<\/span><\/p>\n
