2020-03-02 – British Columbia immigration has issued 290 invitations in its first general draw in a month through the British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program<\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n

The February 27 draw targeted skilled workers and international graduates through five BC PNP streams. The previous general draw took place on January 28.<\/span><\/p>\n

Skilled workers through the direct provincial streams required a minimum score of 103 points to qualify, compared to the 115 points needed through the Express Entry-linked skilled worker stream.<\/span><\/p>\n

The direct provincial stream for international graduates registered a minimum score of 108 points, with the Express Entry-link stream requiring 112 points to qualify.<\/span><\/p>\n

Entry-level and semi-skilled workers required 85 points.<\/span><\/p>\n

The\u00a0BC PNP Tech Pilot<\/a>\u00a0has been extended into 2020 after its initial launch in 2017. It currently has a list of 29 target occupations with relaxed duration requirements.<\/span><\/p>\n

BC PNP draws aimed specifically at technology workers started in May 2017. The province has a thriving technology industry with some big names of the tech world basing themselves in Canada\u2019s westernmost province.<\/span><\/p>\n
