{"id":75463,"date":"2020-02-25T20:50:48","date_gmt":"2020-02-26T01:50:48","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/immigrationca.staging.wpengine.com\/british-columbia-immigration-ends-use-of-guaranteed-invitation-scores"},"modified":"2020-02-25T20:51:47","modified_gmt":"2020-02-26T01:51:47","slug":"british-columbia-immigration-ends-use-of-guaranteed-invitation-scores","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/immigration.ca\/fr\/british-columbia-immigration-ends-use-of-guaranteed-invitation-scores\/","title":{"rendered":"British Columbia Immigration Ends Use Of Guaranteed Invitation Scores"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>2020-02-25 &#8211; British Columbia immigration has announced it will stop publishing scores for guaranteed Invitations to Apply through the <a href=\"https:\/\/immigration.ca\/british-columbia-immigration\">British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Instead, the province says candidates can see the scores required by viewing the <a href=\"https:\/\/immigration.ca\/british-columbia-immigration-draws\">draw details published each week<\/a> since 2016 when it launched its version of Expression of interest immigration.<\/p>\n<p>Previously, the province had published a list of scores that would guarantee an ITA through one of five streams:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Express Entry BC \u2013 Skilled Worker<\/li>\n<li>Express Entry BC \u2013 International Graduate<\/li>\n<li>Skills Immigration \u2013 Skilled Worker<\/li>\n<li>Skills Immigration \u2013 International Graduate<\/li>\n<li>Skills Immigration \u2013 Entry Level and Semi-Skilled<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>A BC PNP statement said: \u201cIn the past, a guaranteed invitation score for each category was posted (subject to change) to illustrate the minimum points that an individual would need to be guaranteed an invitation to apply.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe points were based on a sampling of pre-2016 BC PNP applications.<\/p>\n<p><span>\u00a0<\/span>\u201cSince 2016, we have posted the scores for each draw. It currently has a list of 29 target occupations which qualify for priority processing.<\/p>\n<p>BC PNP draws aimed specifically at technology workers started in May 2017.
