{"id":74753,"date":"2020-01-23T11:23:46","date_gmt":"2020-01-23T16:23:46","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/immigrationca.staging.wpengine.com\/minimum-crs-score-drops-as-canada-issues-3400-express-entry-invites"},"modified":"2020-01-23T11:23:46","modified_gmt":"2020-01-23T16:23:46","slug":"minimum-crs-score-drops-as-canada-issues-3400-express-entry-invites","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/immigration.ca\/fr\/minimum-crs-score-drops-as-canada-issues-3400-express-entry-invites\/","title":{"rendered":"Minimum CRS Score Drops As Canada Issues 3,400 Express Entry Invites"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>2020-01-22 &#8211; Canada immigration authorities issued 3,400 <a href=\"https:\/\/immigration.ca\/invitations-apply-permanent-residence-itas\/\">Invitations to Apply<\/a> (ITAs) in the second <a href=\"https:\/\/immigration.ca\/express-entry-immigration-2018\/\">Express Entry<\/a> draw of 2020.<\/p>\n<p>The January 22 draw saw the minimum <a href=\"https:\/\/immigration.ca\/comprehensive-ranking-system-crs\/\">Comprehensive Ranking System<\/a> (CRS) score drop by two points to 471 when compared to the previous draw.<\/p>\n<p>The second draw of 2020 means Canada has now issued 6,800 ITAs this year. Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) invited 85,300 candidates in 2019.<\/p>\n<p>Canada\u2019s high-skilled immigration admission target for 2020 is 85,800, up from 81,400 in 2019.<\/p>\n<p>IRCC broke the record for annual Express Entry ITAs in 2018 with 89,800.<\/p>\n<p>The latest draw saw the tie-breaking rule implemented on May 9, 2019 at 1.16 am UTC, which is May 8, 2019 at 9.16 pm EST. If more than one candidate had the minimum CRS score, only those who submitted their Express Entry profiles before this date and time received invitations.<\/p>\n<p>This was the second round of invitations under\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/immigration.ca\/express-entry-immigration-2018\/\">Express Entry<\/a>\u00a0in 2020 and\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/immigration.ca\/express-entry-immigration-draws\/\">135<sup>th<\/sup>\u00a0overall<\/a>.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-75035\" src=\"https:\/\/immigration.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/01\/ITAs-Issued-At-This-Stage-Of-Each-Year.png\" alt=\"ITAs Issued At This Stage Of Each Year\" width=\"481\" height=\"289\" \/><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h3>What is Express Entry?<\/h3>\n<p>Express Entry is an immigration system implemented by Canadian immigration authorities (IRCC) on January 1, 2015 which manages skilled worker applications under Federal Economic programs.
