2019-11-07 – British Columbia has targeted skilled workers and international graduates in a new draw focusing on the BC PNP Tech Pilot<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The November 5 draw saw 67 invites issued to candidates with skills and experience in 29 targeted technology occupations.<\/p>\n

Through the Tech Pilot, candidates receive priority processing for existing British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program<\/a> streams.<\/p>\n

In the latest draw, Minimum scores were 90 for all four featured streams. Those streams were:\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

  2. SI \u2013 International Graduate<\/li>\n
  3. EEBC \u2013 Skilled Worker<\/li>\n

    The previous\u00a0British Columbia immigration<\/a> draw saw invitations issued to 413 candidates.<\/p>\n

    The October 29 draw focused on five British Columbia immigration streams.<\/p>\n

    For skilled workers, the minimum score for the direct provincial stream was 93 points, compared to 99 points through the Express Entry-linked stream.<\/p>\n

    For international graduates, the minimum score for the direct provincial stream was 100 points, compared to 102 points through the Express Entry-linked stream.<\/p>\n

    Entry-level and semi-skilled workers required a minimum score of 77 points to qualify.<\/p>\n

    The\u00a0BC PNP Tech Pilot<\/a>\u00a0has been extended into 2020 after its initial launch in 2017. It currently has a list of 29 target occupations with relaxed duration requirements.<\/p>\n

    BC PNP draws aimed specifically at technology workers started in May 2017. The province has a thriving technology industry with some big names of the tech world basing themselves in Canada\u2019s westernmost province.<\/p>\n
