2019-10-11 – British Columbia immigration has conducted a new BC PNP Tech Pilot<\/a> draw, issuing 64 invitations to prospective immigration candidates.<\/p>\n

The Tech Pilot offers priority British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program<\/a> processing to candidates with skills and experience in 29 target occupations.<\/p>\n

The October 8 draw featured minimum scores of 90 for all four included streams:\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

  1. SI \u2013 Skilled Worker<\/li>\n
  2. SI \u2013 International Graduate<\/li>\n
  3. EEBC \u2013 Skilled Worker<\/li>\n
  4. EEBC – International Graduate<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    The previous\u00a0British Columbia immigration<\/a> saw 402 candidates receive invitations.<\/p>\n

    The October 1 draw featured invitations across five BC PNP streams.<\/p>\n

    The direct provincial skilled worker stream saw a minimum score of 92 points, compared to 97 for the Express Entry skilled worker stream.<\/p>\n

    For international graduates, the direct provincial stream saw a minimum score of 97 points, compared to 101 points for the Express Entry international graduate stream.<\/p>\n

    The entry-level and semi-skilled stream registered a minimum score of 78 points.<\/p>\n

    The\u00a0BC PNP Tech Pilot<\/a>\u00a0has been extended into 2020 after its initial launch in 2017. It currently has a list of 29 target occupations with relaxed duration requirements.<\/p>\n

    BC PNP draws aimed specifically at technology workers started in May 2017. The province has a thriving technology industry with some big names of the tech world basing themselves in Canada\u2019s westernmost province.<\/p>\n
