{"id":72473,"date":"2019-09-27T01:00:37","date_gmt":"2019-09-27T01:00:37","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/immigrationca.staging.wpengine.com\/new-brunswick-revamps-selection-factors-for-skilled-worker-immigration-stream"},"modified":"2020-02-06T23:52:59","modified_gmt":"2020-02-07T04:52:59","slug":"new-brunswick-revamps-selection-factors-for-skilled-worker-immigration-stream","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/immigration.ca\/fr\/new-brunswick-revamps-selection-factors-for-skilled-worker-immigration-stream\/","title":{"rendered":"New Brunswick Revamps Selection Factors For Skilled Worker Immigration Stream"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>2019-09-26 &#8211; <a href=\"https:\/\/immigration.ca\/new-brunswick-immigration\">New Brunswick immigration<\/a> has revamped the requirements and selection factors for the New Brunswick Skilled Worker Stream.<\/p>\n<p>A new application guide dated September 2019 sees several changes made to age, language, education, experience and job offer requirements of the New Brunswick Provincial Nominee Program stream.<\/p>\n<p>The stream includes initial Eligibility Requirements that must be met by candidates, before they are scored on six Selection Factors.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><b>Read More<\/b><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/immigration.ca\/new-brunswick-accepting-expression-of-interest-from-specific-express-entry-candidates\">New Brunswick Accepting Expression of Interest From Specific Express Entry Candidates<\/a><br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/immigration.ca\/new-brunswick-businesses-want-streamlined-atlantic-immigration-pilot-to-tackle-labour-shortage\">New Brunswick Businesses Want Streamlined Atlantic Immigration Pilot to Tackle Labour Shortage<\/a><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h3>New Brunswick Skilled Worker Stream: Eligibility Requirement Changes<\/h3>\n<p>Important changes to the Eligibility Requirements include the National Occupational Classification codes for the job offer.<\/p>\n<p>The new stream requires a genuine full-time job offer in one of the following categories:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>High-skilled workers: NOC 0, A, B.<\/li>\n<li>Semi-skilled workers: NOC C.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li>Low-skilled workers: NOC D skill type 7, 8 and 9.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The stream also requires candidates to be offered a competitive wage and to have the required certificate or license for regulated occupations.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h3>New Brunswick Skilled Worker Stream: Selection Factor Changes<\/h3>\n<p>Previously, candidates were required to score 50 points based on a list of selection factors for the Skilled Worker Stream. The revamped stream requires a score of 60 from a possible 100.<\/p>\n<p><b>1) Age<\/b><\/p>\n<p>The age range to qualify has been changed from 22 to 55-years-old, to 19 to 55-years old. Candidates can score up to 10 points.<\/p>\n<p><b>2) Language<\/b><\/p>\n<p>New requirements establish Canadian Language Benchmark 4 in English or French as the minimum language score. Candidates can score up to 28 points. Previously, the maximum was 15 points.<\/p>\n<p><b>3) Education<\/b><\/p>\n<p>Secondary education remains the minimum requirement for the stream. Previously, up to 18 points were available for education. The new stream makes up to 20 points available.<\/p>\n<p><b>4) Work Experience<\/b><\/p>\n<p>New requirements state that work experience must be full time, obtained in the last five years, and in a NOC related to the candidate\u2019s job offer. Candidates must have a minimum of one year of experience, except in the case of international graduates, who do not require any experience. Up to 20 points are available compared to 10 under the old system.<\/p>\n<p><b>5) Priority Sectors<\/b><\/p>\n<p>The revamped stream introduces new priority sectors, awarding 10 points for job offers in:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Transportation.<\/li>\n<li>Health care.<\/li>\n<li>Manufacturing.<\/li>\n<li>Education.<\/li>\n<li>Business service centres.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>6) Adaptability<\/b><\/p>\n<p>The new stream also includes a revamped list of adaptability factors for both the main candidate and their spouse or common law partner.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p>Recent changes also saw New Brunswick launch an online application system for the NB PNP, called the INB Portal.<\/p>\n<p>The New Brunswick Skilled Worker Stream is one of four streams offered by the province.
