2019-09-18 – British Columbia immigration has conducted a new draw, issuing invitations to apply to 481 candidates through the British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The September 17 draw saw minimum scores range between 77 and 101 points under five different BC PNP categories.<\/p>\n

A minimum score of 77 points was recorded for the entry-level and semi-skilled stream.<\/p>\n

B.C.\u2019s director provincial stream for skilled workers recorded a minimum score of 92 points, while the Express Entry-linked skilled worker stream recorded a minimum score of 97 points.<\/p>\n

Under the direct provincial international graduate stream, 97 point was also the minimum recorded score, while the Entry Entry-linked international graduate stream had a minimum score of 101 points.<\/p>\n

The previous British Columbia immigration<\/a> draw saw 57 invitations issued through the BC PNP Tech Pilot, providing expedited processing under existing BC PNP streams in 29 target occupations.<\/p>\n

All four streams featured in the draw required a minimum score of 90 points. Those streams were:<\/p>\n

    The\u00a0BC PNP Tech Pilot<\/a>\u00a0has been extended into 2020 after its initial launch in 2017. It currently has a list of 29 target occupations with relaxed duration requirements.<\/p>\n

    BC PNP draws aimed specifically at technology workers started in May 2017. The province has a thriving technology industry with some big names of the tech world basing themselves in Canada\u2019s westernmost province.<\/p>\n
