Sep 05, 2019 – Three Canadian cities are among the top 10 \u2018most liveable\u2019 in the world, according to a new report from the Economist Intelligence Unit.<\/span><\/p>\n

Calgary (#5), Vancouver (#6) and Toronto (#7) make Canada the joint best represented country in the top 10, alongside Australia.<\/span><\/p>\n

The list is headed by Austrian capital Vienna.<\/span><\/p>\n

    In compiling the list, the EIU rated 140 countries in five important areas, namely Stability, Healthcare, Culture & Environment, Education and Infrastructure.<\/span><\/p>\n

    Very little separated the Canadian cities in the list, with Calgary scoring an overall 97.5, Vancouver scoring 97.3 and Toronto scoring 97.2.<\/span><\/p>\n

    At the top of the list, Vienna scored an overall 99.1.<\/span><\/p>\n

    \nVancouver register perfect 100s in three out of the five categories, namely Healthcare, Education and Culture & Environment.<\/span><\/p>\n

    The British Columbia city lost marks on Stability with a score of 95, and Infrastructure with a score of 92.9.<\/span><\/p>\n

    Toronto managed perfect scores of 100 for Stability, Healthcare and Education.<\/span><\/p>\n

    However, the Ontario giant lost marks for Culture & Environment, for which it scored 97.2 and Infrastructure with an 89.3.<\/span><\/p>\n

    Meanwhile, the report also list the top 10 least liveable cities, with war-torn Damascus in Syria taking the title of the world\u2019s least liveable city, with an overall score of 30.7 out of 100.<\/span><\/p>\n
