{"id":72030,"date":"2019-09-05T15:23:18","date_gmt":"2019-09-05T15:23:18","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/immigrationca.staging.wpengine.com\/nova-scotia-targets-french-speaking-candidates-in-new-labour-market-priorities-draw"},"modified":"2020-02-06T23:53:47","modified_gmt":"2020-02-07T04:53:47","slug":"nova-scotia-targets-french-speaking-candidates-in-new-labour-market-priorities-draw","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/immigration.ca\/fr\/nova-scotia-targets-french-speaking-candidates-in-new-labour-market-priorities-draw\/","title":{"rendered":"Nova Scotia Targets French-Speaking Candidates In New Labour Market Priorities Draw"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Sep 05, 2019 &#8211; <a href=\"https:\/\/immigration.ca\/nova-scotia-immigration\">Nova Scotia immigration<\/a><\/span><span class=\"s2\"> has conducted a new draw aim at French-speaking candidates through the province\u2019s Express Entry-linked Labour Market Priorities stream.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s2\">The September 4 draw saw 204 letters of interest sent to candidates scoring Canadian Language Benchmark level 8 or higher for French in all language abilities.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s2\">Candidates were also required to have CLB 6 or higher in all language abilities for English.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s2\">Those receiving a letter of interest from the <a href=\"https:\/\/immigration.ca\/nova-scotia-immigration\"><span class=\"s1\">Nova Scotia Nominee Program<\/span><\/a> have 30 calendar days to submit a complete application.<\/span><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h3 class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s2\">Requirements for September 4 Nova Scotia Labour Market Priorities Draw<\/span><\/h3>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s2\"><i>Candidates must:<\/i><\/span><\/p>\n<ul class=\"ul1\">\n<li class=\"li1\"><span class=\"s2\">Have selected French as their first official language and have a Canadian Language Benchmark score of 8 or higher in French in all language abilities.<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"li1\"><span class=\"s2\">Have English as a second official language with a Canadian Language Benchmark score of 6 or higher in English in all language abilities.<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"li1\"><span class=\"s2\">Hold a bachelor\u2019s degree OR have completed a program of three or more years at a university, college, trade or technical school, or other institute.<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"li1\"><span class=\"s2\">Have a valid Express Entry number and meet all IRCC criteria for the Express Entry pool.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3 class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s2\">What Are The General Requirements For Nova Scotia Labour Market Priorities?<\/span><\/h3>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s2\"><i>Candidates must:<\/i><\/span><\/p>\n<ul class=\"ul1\">\n<li class=\"li1\"><span class=\"s2\">Receive a Letter of Interest from the Nova Scotia Nominee Program within the Express Entry system.<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"li1\"><span class=\"s2\">Meet the minimum work experience requirements of the Express Entry stream for which you have qualified.<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"li1\"><span class=\"s2\">Demonstrate sufficient funds to successfully establish yourself and your family in Nova Scotia and to pay your immigration costs and travel expenses.<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"li1\"><span class=\"s2\">Have legal status in your current country of residence.<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"li1\"><span class=\"s2\">Meet eligibility criteria in place at the time you are issued a Letter of Interest.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr \/>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s2\">This was the fifth draw in the history of the Labour Market Priorities stream and the second to specifically target French-speaking candidates.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s2\">Nova Scotia has issued letters of interest to 1,124 candidates through the stream during 2019.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s2\">The stream was launched in August 2018 to give Nova Scotia the flexibility to target certain occupations and candidates through the <a href=\"https:\/\/immigration.ca\/nova-scotia-immigration\/\"><span class=\"s1\">Nova Scotia Nominee Program<\/span><\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s2\">Draws have also been conducted aimed at financial auditors and accountants (NOC 1111) and at early childhood educators and assistants (NOC 4214).<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Sep 05, 2019 &#8211; Nova Scotia immigration has conducted a new draw aim at French-speaking candidates through the province\u2019s Express Entry-linked Labour Market Priorities stream.
