in-demand IT occupations through <a href=\"https:\/\/immigration.ca\/ontario-immigration\/\"><span class=\"s2\">Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program<\/span><\/a> Tech Draws.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">The province began conducting <a href=\"https:\/\/immigration.ca\/ontario-immigration-draws\"><span class=\"s2\">Tech Draws<\/span><\/a> in July 2019, falling under the province\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/immigration.ca\/ontario-immigrant-nominee-program-express-entry-streams\"><span class=\"s2\">Express Entry-linked Human Capital Priorities stream<\/span><\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">In two Tech Draws so far, the province has issued Notifications of Interest to 3,396 Express Entry candidates.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">The six occupations are:<\/span><\/p>\n\n<ol class=\"ol1\">\n \t<li class=\"li1\"><span class=\"s1\">Software engineers and designers (NOC 2173)<\/span><\/li>\n \t<li class=\"li1\"><span class=\"s1\">Computer programmers and interactive media developers (NOC 2174)<\/span><\/li>\n \t<li class=\"li1\"><span class=\"s1\">Computer engineers (NOC 2147)<\/span><\/li>\n \t<li class=\"li1\"><span class=\"s1\">Web designers and developers (NOC 2175)<\/span><\/li>\n \t<li class=\"li1\"><span class=\"s1\">Database analysts and data administrators (NOC 2172)<\/span><\/li>\n \t<li class=\"li1\"><span class=\"s1\">Computer and information systems managers (NOC 0213)<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Candidates must meet existing HCP requirements (see below) as well as have work experience in one of the stated occupations.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">They are selected from the Express Entry pool and have 45 days to submit a full application after receiving an NOI.<\/span><\/p>\n\n<h3>Ontario Human Capital Priorities General Requirements<\/h3>\n<ul class=\"ul1\">\n \t<li class=\"li1\"><span class=\"s1\">Ongoing profile under the Federal Express Entry system and be qualified for either the FSWP or the CEC.<\/span><\/li>\n \t<li class=\"li1\"><span class=\"s1\">Hold minimum of 1-year of full time, or full-time equivalent work experience under NOC occupation\u00a0level 0, A or B, in the past five years if applying under the FSWP or in the past three years if applying under CEC.<\/span><\/li>\n \t<li class=\"li1\"><span class=\"s1\">Hold the equivalent of a Canadian Bachelors degree or higher.<\/span><\/li>\n \t<li class=\"li1\"><span class=\"s1\">Show language proficiency of minimum\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/immigration.ca\/canada-immigration-language-tests-converter\/\"><span class=\"s2\">CLB\/NCLC<\/span><\/a>\u00a0level 7 in English or in French.<\/span><\/li>\n \t<li class=\"li1\"><span class=\"s1\">Intention to reside in the province of Ontario.<\/span><\/li>\n \t<li class=\"li1\"><span class=\"s1\">Residing with legal status in
