Jul 24, 2019 – Invitations to Apply<\/a> were issued to 3,600 candidates in the second Express Entry<\/a> draw of July 2019\u00a0 even as the minimum Comprehensive Ranking System<\/a> score of 459, maintained its continued downward trajectory.<\/p>\n

Since hitting 2019-high of 470 points on May 29, the CRS score has dropped by 11 points over four consecutive draws. The score in the latest draw is one point lower than July 10 draw.<\/p>\n

Canada has now issued 49,000 ITAs in 2019, against a high-skilled immigration target of 81,400.<\/p>\n

IRCC broke the record for annual Express Entry ITAs in 2018 with 89,800.<\/p>\n

The draw saw the tie-breaking rule implemented on May 25, 2019 at 10.40 pm EST. If more than one candidate had the lowest score, the cut-off is based on the date and time they submitted their Express Entry profiles.<\/p>\n

This was the 15th round of invitations under\u00a0Express Entry<\/a>\u00a0in 2019 and\u00a0122nd<\/sup> overall<\/a>.<\/p>\n

What is Express Entry?<\/h3>\n

Express Entry is an immigration system implemented by Canadian immigration authorities (IRCC) on January 1, 2015 which manages skilled worker applications under Federal Economic programs. This includes the\u00a0Federal Skilled Worker Program<\/a>, the\u00a0Federal Skilled Trades Program\u00a0<\/a>the\u00a0Canada Experience Class<\/a>\u00a0and parts of the\u00a0Provincial Nomination Programs<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Stakeholders expect to see near 30 draws and more than 80,000 invitations issued in 2019, with a majority of draws featuring CRS scores below\u00a0460\u00a0to enable Canadian immigration authorities to meet targeted\u00a0annual immigration levels for 201<\/a>9.<\/p>\n
