May 1, 2019 – The minimum Comprehensive Ranking System<\/span><\/a> score edged down by a point as Canada crossed 30,000 Invitations to Apply<\/span><\/a> for 2019 in the latest Express Entry<\/span><\/a> draw.<\/span><\/p>\n

The May 1 draw saw 3,350 candidates receives ITAs for Canada immigration, with a minimum CRS score of 450.<\/span><\/p>\n

Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) has now issued 31,250 ITAs in 2019, against a high-skilled immigration target of 81,400.<\/span><\/p>\n

Canada\u2019s immigration ministry broke the record for annual Express Entry ITAs in 2018 with 89,800.<\/span><\/p>\n

The draw saw the tie-breaking rule implemented on November 5, 2018 at 8.27am EST. If more than one candidate had the lowest score, the cut-off is based on the date and time they submitted their Express Entry profiles.<\/span><\/p>\n

This was the ninth round of invitations under\u00a0Express Entry<\/span><\/a>\u00a0in 2019 and\u00a0116<\/span>th<\/sup><\/span>\u00a0overall<\/span><\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n

What is Express Entry?<\/span><\/h3>\n

Express Entry is an immigration system implemented by Canadian immigration authorities (IRCC) on January 1, 2015 which manages skilled worker applications under Federal Economic programs. This includes the\u00a0Federal Skilled Worker Program<\/span><\/a>, the\u00a0Federal Skilled Trades Program\u00a0<\/span><\/a>the\u00a0Canada Experience Class<\/span><\/a>\u00a0and parts of the\u00a0Provincial Nomination Programs<\/span><\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n

Stakeholders expect to see near 30 draws and more than 80,000 invitations issued in 2019, with a majority of draws featuring CRS scores below\u00a0460\u00a0to enable Canadian immigration authorities to meet targeted\u00a0annual immigration levels for 201<\/span><\/a><\/span>9<\/span>.<\/span><\/p>\n
