{"id":40064,"date":"2017-11-10T13:57:35","date_gmt":"2017-11-10T13:57:35","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/immigrationca.staging.wpengine.com\/quebec-immigration-levels-plan-2018\/"},"modified":"2017-11-10T13:59:58","modified_gmt":"2017-11-10T13:59:58","slug":"quebec-immigration-levels-plan-2018","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/immigration.ca\/fr\/quebec-immigration-levels-plan-2018\/","title":{"rendered":"Quebec Immigration Levels Plan 2018"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Nov 10, 2017 &#8211;\u00a0The Quebec government has exclusive jurisdiction to manage its own comprehensive immigration programs, under a series of agreements dating back to 1981.\u00a0 It has the largest allocations of immigrants to Canada, among the 10 provinces and 3 territories accounting for approximately 17 per cent of Canada\u2019s planned overall annual immigration levels for 2018.<\/p>\n<h3>Economic Immigration Numbers<\/h3>\n<p><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright wp-image-35372 size-medium\" title=\"Quebec Immigration Levels Plan 2018\" src=\"https:\/\/immigration.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/06\/quebec-629816_640-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"Quebec Immigration Levels Plan 2018\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" srcset=\"https:\/\/immigration.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/06\/quebec-629816_640-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/immigration.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/06\/quebec-629816_640-249x187.jpg 249w, https:\/\/immigration.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/06\/quebec-629816_640.jpg 640w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/>Quebec plans to welcome up to 31,300 economic immigrants in 2018, split between Skilled Worker, Business and Other Economic categories.<\/p>\n<p>This maximum intake figure is 1,000 more than the expected maximum for 2017 and effectively the same as the 2016 total of 31,600 new immigrants.<\/p>\n<p>The 2018 breakdown figures for Skilled Workers (24,200 to 26,300), Business (4,000 to 4,300) and Other Economic immigrants (500 to 700) are all within a similar range as seen in the previous two years.<\/p>\n<h3>Family Reunification Numbers<\/h3>\n<p>In the Family Reunification category, the maximum intake of 12,100 is slightly lower than the projected 2017 maximum intake of 12,800, but significantly higher than both 2016 (11,124) and 2015 (10,490).<\/p>\n<h3>Refugee Numbers<\/h3>\n<p>Refugee numbers are expected to drop slightly when compared to the previous years.
