(if you choose to use an alternative method, you must submit a written rationale and explanation of the alternative method).<\/li>\n<li>If you are from a province or territory with a provincial or territorial job board, you will be required to use Job Bank, but you will also be able to use a provincial or territorial job board as one of your additional methods of recruitment.<\/li>\n<li>The additional methods used must target at least two of the underrepresented groups in the labour market: Indigenous people, vulnerable youth, newcomers, and people with disabilities.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h3>Methods of Recruitment<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>General employment websites<\/li>\n<li>Online classified websites<\/li>\n<li>Specialized websites which are dedicated to specific occupational profiles (for example, accounting, marketing, biotechnology, education, engineering)<\/li>\n<li>Local, regional and national newspapers or newsletters<\/li>\n<li>Local stores, places of worship, and community resource centres<\/li>\n<li>Local, regional and provincial\/territorial employment centres<\/li>\n<li>Magazines and journals (for example, national journals or magazines, professional associations magazines, specialized journals)<\/li>\n<li>Participation at job fairs<\/li>\n<li>Partnering with training institutions or offering internships\/bursaries<\/li>\n<li>Professional recruitment agencies<\/li>\n<li>Consultations with unions for available labour<\/li>\n<li>Advertising through professional associations<\/li>\n<li>Recruitment within the company (for example, considering internal candidates for the position)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Job Advertisement Duration<\/h3>\n<p>You must ensure that the job advertisement:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Has occurred in the three months prior to submitting the LMIA application.<\/li>\n<li>Is for a minimum of four consecutive weeks within the three months prior to submitting the LMIA application<\/li>\n<li>At least one of the three recruitment activities to seek qualified Canadians and permanent residents must be ongoing until the date a positive or negative LMIA has been issued.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Job Advertisement Information<\/h3>\n<p>The job advertisement must include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Company operating name<\/li>\n<li>Business address<\/li>\n<li>Title of the position<\/li>\n<li>Job duties (for each position, if advertising is\u00a0for more than one vacancy)<\/li>\n<li>Terms of employment (project based, permanent position)<\/li>\n<li>Language of work<\/li>\n<li>Wage (must include any incremental raises, performance pay or bonuses)\n<ul>\n<li>A wage range can be used for the purposes of complying with the advertisements, however the minimum wage in the range must meet prevailing wage<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Benefits package offered (if applicable)<\/li>\n<li>Location(s) of work (local area, city or town)<\/li>\n<li>Contact information: telephone number, cell phone number, email address, fax number, or mailing address<\/li>\n<li>Skills requirements (includes education and work experience)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Proof of advertisement<\/h3>\n<p>You must demonstrate that you have made efforts to recruit Canadians and permanent residents by providing these documents as proof of advertisement with your application:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A copy of the advertisement and information to support\u00a0<b>where<\/b>,\u00a0<b>when<\/b>\u00a0and for\u00a0<b>how long<\/b>\u00a0the position was advertised.<\/li>\n<li>Proof that the print media and websites used to advertise target an audience that has the appropriate education, professional experience and\/or skill level required for the occupation.<\/li>\n<li>Proof of other recruitment activities (for example, invoice from Job Fair)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Interested employers:\u00a0<\/b>Kindly\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/immigration.ca\/en\/employment-portal\/canada-employers.html\">contact us<\/a>\u00a0here to receive further information.<\/p>\n<p><b>Interested candidates:<\/b>\u00a0Find out whether you qualify to Canada by completing our\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/immigration.ca\/en\/free-immigration-evaluation.html\">free on-line evaluation<\/a>.
