The stream is open to Canadian companies and international firms looking to move or invest here. It will cost companies a $1,000 fee per skilled worker, with Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) providing case-specific help with each application.<\/p>\n<p>Although the new <a href=\"https:\/\/immigration.ca\/how-to-apply-for-canadian-temporary-work-permit\/\">Temporary Foreign Worker Program<\/a> stream has been months in the making, it could not come at a better moment for Canadian companies looking to benefit from Donald Trump\u2019s USA immigration crackdown across the border.<\/p>\n<p>Once the fast-track\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/immigration.ca\/canada-work-visa\/\">Canada work permit<\/a>\u00a0is up and running, those skilled workers thinking about moving to Canada will become able to make it happen in two weeks.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><strong>Read More<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/immigration.ca\/livestream-video-immigration-lawyer-singer-analyzes-new-global-talent-stream\/\">Livestream Video: Immigration Lawyer Singer Analyzes New Global Talent Stream<\/a><br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/immigration.ca\/trump-limits-h-1b-u-s-visa-canada-global-talent-stream-looms\/\">Trump Limits H-1B U.S. Visa As Canada Global Talent Stream Looms<\/a><br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/immigration.ca\/tech-firms-keen-fast-global-talent-stream-canada-work-permits\/\">Tech Firms Keen For Fast Global Talent Stream Canada Work Permits<\/a><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p>A key element of the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/immigration.ca\/canada-work-permit-global-talent-stream\/\">Global Talent Stream<\/a>\u00a0is that registered employers will need to commit to creating jobs for Canadians and transferring knowledge to Canadian workers.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis will result in timely, responsive, and predictable service that enables companies to attract top talent to scale up, create good middle-class jobs at home and remain globally competitive,\u201d the federal government press release states.<\/p>\n<p>The Global Talent Stream is part of a broader Global Skills Strategy to directly help Canadian start-ups thrive.<\/p>\n<h3>Key Elements Of The New Global Talent Stream<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Two-week standard for processing Canada work permit applications (and Canada visa applications when applicable) for highly skilled talent.<\/li>\n<li>Dedicated service for companies looking to make significant job-creating investments in Canada.<\/li>\n<li>Dropping of the work permit requirement for short-term highly skilled work (30 days or less in a 12-month period), and brief academic stays.<\/li>\n<li>Companies applying for workers through the Global Talent Stream will have access to the new streamlined application process that will provide:\n<ul>\n<li>Client-focused service to help guide eligible employers through the application process and the development of the Labour Market Benefits Plan, with a service standard of 10 business days.<\/li>\n<li>Eligibility for workers to have their work permit applications processed in 10 business days.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>It has become clear that a growing need exists for Canadian employers.
